MMA means mixed martial arts, a martial arts that is fought in a so-called octagon, MMA cage. Techniques from Brazilian Jiu jitsu, wrestling, judo, Thai and kickboxing are used here. A very heavy physical sport that requires many hours of training to get ready.
In addition to a lot of training, this sport also requires a great deal of discipline and tactics and resilience. Ingredients which not everyone owns.
MMA is making a worldly advance. Martial arts is becoming increasingly popular in view of the many different associations that are emerging worldwide, with the UFC as the most famous. In the Netherlands, the sport is becoming more popular also thanks to Dutch MMA fighters who are doing well or have done well. Allistair Overeem, Melvin Manhoef, Stefan Struve and of course Gegard Mousasi are real toppers.
Unfortunately, there are just a few professional organizations in the Netherlands, so Dutch MMA fighters have to move abroad to fight there. The facilities / materials and knowledge for a complete MMA gym are also scarce.
Here we want to make a change, we have a brand new real contest MMA cage, octagon, in which can be trained. Coaches Oliver Lemmer and Donovan Payoniotis have the necessary knowledge / experience to take you to a higher level in your ground and standup game. Under the name Fight I.Q. we teach. Training days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12.00 and 19.00, there is a boxing class specifically aimed at MMA on Sundays.
We also give Crossfit training aimed at MMA, a perfect combination to improve your explosiveness and endurance.
We would also like to encourage the female fans to come and train, because the sport among the women also enjoys immense popularity, so come quickly to train with us.
